Hello to all!
It’s not too early to be thinking about where to go to party for Halloween! Welcome to this week’s “Event Horizon” post where we catch you up on upcoming shows featuring members and friends of the Guitar Noise community!
As you know, we at Guitar Noise believe that the true power, wonder and beauty of music comes when it gets shared with the world. So whenever you’re out playing, we’d really like to do is to help promote your shows, whether it’s in a stadium or at a ten-seat coffee house. Not only is it a great way to help support each other, it’s also a terrific way to meet more musicians!
Every Wednesday, we’ll post here about the gigs we know are coming up in the following ten days or so. Hopefully you’ll get a chance to attend a show should they happen to be in your corner of the world!
Thursday, October 20, 2011:
Greg Nease, longtime Guitar Noise member, will be playing with Chris Jankoski at the Triumph Brewing Co (138 Nassau Street) in Princeton, New Jersey. Music should start a little after 9 PM.
Lee Hodge and his band Doesn’t Madder will be at The Artist’s Cafe (100 North Main Street) in Newton, North Carolina on Saturday, October 15. Show goes from 8:30PM until midnight.
And if you’re in Drammen, Norway – go check out The Flea Market Band! You’ll hear a lot of great music and have a fun time! They’ll be at Buddy Scene, Amtmand Blomsgate 4 Drammen, Norway for a 10 PM show.

Doesn’t Madder follows up its Friday show with a Saturday gig at Horsefeathers Roadhouse, which is at 3746 Mount Pleasant Road in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina. Show starts at 9:30PM and goes until 12:30 AM.
And over on the West Coast, The Wishing Well, have a gig at AMPLYFi, located at 5603 Melrose Ave (behind the Astroburger in the alley) in Los Angeles, California. It’s a 9:00 PM start.

The Wishing Well continues its tour along the West Coast with a gig at Linnaea’s, located at 1110 Garden Street in San Luis Obispo, California. Show starts at 8 PM.

Greg Nease and Suzannah Sabin play the Yankee Doodle Tap Room, which is at 10 Palmer Square East, in Princeton, New Jersey. Show goes from 7 to 9 PM.

Tom McLaughlin and LIFE IS DRAMA are back at Booben’s – 109 E Chippewa Street in Dwight, Illinois – for their Halloween Bash! Should be a fun night, especially since the band will all be dressing up in pirate costumes and it will also be the debut gig for their new bass player. Music goes from 10:00pm-1:30am.
And The Wishing Well will be spending the pre-Halloween weekend playing at the Owl Club at 109 Church Street in Roseville, California. It’s a 8:00 PM start.
