Hi Dylan

Don't worry about keeping things shorter! It's great to hear form you and to read how things are coming along.

If you're not already a member of the Guitar Noise Forum pages, you should go take a look. It's a great community where guitarists of all skill levels from all over the world get together to help each other through the stumbling blocks that happen to us all. You'll get answers to questions you might have, but more importantly, you'll get many reactions and experiences concerning how others dealt with things like F chords and finger picking and barre chords and just about anything you can imagine.

Hope to be seeing you on the boards!

Peace

Hi Guys, I've just found this blog so I hope you don't mind me introducing myself.

I've just bought my first guitar and started to learn to play. Normal 6 steel string acoustic, and arrived with a CD which showed me the basics, ie, which way up to hold it. I've got to learn the whole lot but it's nice to combine learning with playing a tune you recognise.

Quickly to say that your finger picking excerise for House of the Rising Sun is great - the one I've been trying uses F and yes, it is difficult, but then so are most of the transitions - I definitely like the Fmaj7 better, but I'll also persevere with F.

I've only been playing for a couple of weeks and my fingers hurt like hell but I'm practicing everyday, but heck, it's not easy is it? Maybe I'm just a slow learner - I don't know what to expect after two or three weeks? Sorry for the long blog - I'll keep it shorter next time..

Thanks

We don't have a feed for our lessons and other content (yet!). It's definitely something I want to do. Right now it's in the queue with all the other things I need to do.

I've only just found this site but one of the features I was looking for but couldn't find was a feed for all of your content (The lessons and so on). If you do have these can you make them easier to fund and if you don't can you make them? Please!

Just to add a brief note to Paul's, I know I'm pretty excited about this new addition to Guitar Noise. We usually have a lot of ideas that we don't post up as full fledged articles and this gives us a whole new way of bringing ideas, advice and stories to our readers.

Looking forward to seeing you all here on the GN Blog page!

Peace
