Bruce Springsteen concert footage from 1975

My local pbs channel aired a Bruce Springsteen concert from 1975 the other night. It was from one of his London shows. It was awesome. Brought back many memories. Bruce was a skinny kinda skanky looking dude back then but boy could he and the e street bank rock. Did anyone else see it?

For me it was Greensleeves/What Child is this. I play it hybrid pick style. I play the bass notes with my pick held between the thumb and forefinger and play the rest of the notes with my other fingers. It works for me

Aimee(What you wanna do) by Pure Prairie League always cheers me up. It's not necessarily a cheerful song but it does it for me

I'd have to say "Simple Twist of Fate" although "Tonight I'll be Staying Here With You" ranks right up there

Well, I am no expert at this but I think there are several ways to approach this. One way may be to buy the sheet music or get a tab from the internet The sheet music or the tab should have the chords listed on there. Once you get the chords you can figure out a finger picking pattern. But be aware ...

The Art of Contemporary Travis Picking by Mark Hanson

I just picked up this book about a month ago. Let me tell you it's great. I've been playing for a long time but would classify my self as an intermediate. I had never learned to fingerpick. This book is getting me there fast. It is well written and easy to understand. It has some great tunes that he...

good guitar repair shop in Eastern Massachusetts?

Anybody know a good guitar repair shop in Eastern Massachusetts with reasonable rates? The action on my ovation is way too high and it is taking away from the enjoyment I get from playing. I need to have it adjusted and don't want to fool with it myself because I think I'll mess up the pickup that's...

I know this is easier said than done but why don't you figure out what key the song is in from the chords and then use the applicable pentatonic scale to figure out the solos.

I like Bread song's too Baby I'm a want you is a good one

Extended chords

Tom, Excellent lesson on extended chords. It simplified 9th, 11th and 14th chords for me and has increased my chord vocabulary with these sweet sounding chords. One of the fingerings is very difficult for me. The A 11 based on the A7 shape involves a finger stretch that even my long fingers cannot h...

I leave out the d on the sixth string when I play it. I think it sounds allright. The only problem is I get alot of squeaking from the strings when I slide to a new position. It must be time to change strings or get some finger grease

Well I have been using the Leavitt books off and on for about 10 months now and I am sad to say I haven't made much progress. Sure I could have put more time in and sure I would have benefited from having a teacher but unfortunately with work and a family it's difficult to find time to practice let ...
