Re: Hopefully, coming back.

I listen to a lot of alt rock, And there are some bands that are harder, maybe more like your old stuff, but different. Here are a few bands to check out: Modern Alt Rock: Senses Fail (Labeled as screamo, but post hardcore would be more appropriate) Taking Back Sunday Something Corportate Yellowcard...

Re: Favorite Guitar Poll Part 1

Sorry for the archtop bit, I've only played a few, just didn't know. Its just for fun guys, I'm leaving this open for a while to get as many votes as possible. I'm a math minor, I've got my stats down. If I don't see a commanding lead or 30 or more votes then I wont continue the poll. I was just bor...

'51 mod project soon to start!

Now that I have my Epi Les Paul, I want to take on the blonde Squier '51. It has so much potential... First off the bridge pickup is out. It's alright, but I want something a bit less modern, and I already have a humbucking guitar. I'm gonna throw in a GFS Mean 90. Also, has anyone replaced their br...

Re: Humbucker gone thin and quiet

Honestly, if you've got the time, I'd ditch the old electronics and start new. Fresh wire, pots, capacitors, everything. Can't go wrong that way. I think your problem might be a bad connection with the pickup selector. Try looking at that. http://store.guitarfetish.com/guelco.html Plus upgrading you...

Re: Favorite Guitar Poll Part 1

I actually went with the archtop choice. Archtops seem to make very versitile guitars, that can play pretty much anything.

Favorite Guitar Poll Part 1

I've decided to start a series of polls, to single out guitar noises favorite electric guitar, by poll. Just a little experiment. The poll is going to be guitar type. When the results give us a winner, I will post the next poll, which will be brand, followed by models, color, etc. The end product sh...

Re: Different Pick Worked Wonders for Me

A long time ago I used a variety of picks, until eventually I settled on heavy. Just felt more in command with a .96mm than anything else. The flex just plain bothered me, although I think I might give some new picks a try since my main guitars have changed. Never know...

Re: My new used amp

Those amps do have some nice tone. I saw a lead guitarist at local battle of the bands playing the half stack version of that. Seemed to get some nice lead tones, but the it didn't handle the chuga chuga like the marshall guys.

What genres are you into, and maybe can we have a sound clip sid?

Silvertone Paul Stanley Apocolypse Pro

I have a Paul Stanley Apocolypse Pro for sale. I havn't used it in a long time, primarily since on the nut broke. I'm selling it because I'm getting a new Epi LP, and I don't play this guy much anymore. I'm selling it with the broken nut. All I have right now are stock photos, although mine is in gr...
