I sing with the radio although I don't listen to it much. I tend to sing at home a lot with my cds playing and I do pretty well with tune and time. Whether I sound good or not is another story. I have trouble when I'm singing a song and then the singer belts out something that I'll never be able to ...

Thanks all. I'm not sure I'm naturally talented but I worry about breathing more than anything else. I certainly won't be belting out any soprano notes...I don't have a deep voice, not sure what you would classify it as but learning to play guitar has opened up other realizations that I didn't know ...

Singing in a band without any training - possible?

It's me again. So now I have this bug to sing it seems. Is it advisable to have at least some vocal training before attempting to sing in a group/band? Or does it depend on what's more important to them, a good voice or someone that already knows how to breathe, etc? I was thinking maybe I could go ...

I can't say anything much different than others before me, but maybe take a break and see what happens. I don't think there's anything wrong with venting; who better than your guitar buds here? I haven't been playing long but I have found guitar can be very complex and I'm not even past learning my ...

I agree Rahul. I do want to sound like me and not imitate the voice. One day I'll get brave and get some cheapy equipment to practice with and then find a way to get it online. :D
