Re: Richard Thompson

I thought the name was familiar so I searched back on some past Acoustic Guitar issues and sure enough he was featured in the October 2007 issue. Didn't pay to much attention to it because I didn't know who he was but now I'm going to go back and actually read the article. Nice and thanks for pointi...

Re: What's wood is my Guild D4-NT top made of?

If you can read the serial number which I assume is on the paper inside the sound hole perhaps you could contact Guild and have them track the specifics for you. They even may have the serial number ranges online on their web site. I know that Martin provides this service so maybe Guild does as well...

Re: Neil Young streams his new album

Thanks so much for the link - Harvest and After the Gold Rush were two albums that made me want to play acoustic guitar.

Re: How do you organize your "Songbook"

I use both paper and digital. Like Nuno I have a folder in my computer that I've created pdf's of songs so I can play along when I'm first starting to learn a new tune. The advantage there is that you're not dealing with a lot of paper and trying to get the pages in order. Also, as mentioned earlier...

Re: Which would you buy...

Are you sure of it ? Sorry Rahul I should have been more specific - Guild also makes a D35 and that was the one I had in my hands once upon a time. http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Acoustic+Guitar/product/Guild/D-35/10/1 The only lefty that Guild makes that I am aware of is the GAD50 - co...

Re: Which would you buy...

I don't think you can go wrong with either guitar - both are solid wood and both would age very nicely. My biggest regret is not a buying a lefty D-35 back in the late '70's when I had the chance because they don't make them for southpaws anymore. Not sure of the timing but I believe Guilds were bei...

Re: Acoustic guitar...into an electric guitar amp?

Might be the other way.... I can plug my acoustic into my neoghbour's amp without any problems but I have a Crate acoustic amp that states in the manual (yes I actually did read it) that an electric guitar should not be plugged into it.
