I hear this song crying out for a bridge about the disabled vet whom people go out of their way to avoid, and a few lines about taking liberty for granted. Good verses. I like the repeated chous better, but with a bridge like I said. I've been off the forums for quite some time. Time's fun when you'...

pop-filter
An effective, but not pretty, pop-filter can be made by stretching a woman's nylon stocking over a wire frame. It works as well as the popfilters you pay 20-30 bucks for. Just make sure your wife/girlfriend doesn't see it or you'll have some explaining to do! Another purpose the pop filter serves is...

I just posted this on a different topic. I'd also like to point out that I have been very happy with the M-Audio Mobile-Pre USB interface for recording at home. Check sweetwater.com, or musiciansfriend.com for refurbished units and you can usually save a few bucks. Got mine at Guitar Center for $89....

I learned recording on a ProTools LE system, mixing on Protools HD with a gazillion plugins . If you are just getting into recording, you are better off with Cubase or one of the other inexpensive recording software packages, in my opinion. Pro Tools is great, don't get me wrong, and if you plan to ...

I have used several thousand dollars worth of mics of every type and description ( but still haven't scratched the surface of what is available). Bottom line, if you can only buy one mic, buy the Shure SM 57. It is an excellent mic for nearly any instrument recording, is quite good as a vocal mic, a...

Muddiness
Sorry, I couldn't find the music on your website, but just wanted to point out a common EQ problem. EQ should be adjusted by finding frequencies that are similar between two signals (muddy) and detracting the freq from one signal to carve out space for the signal you want most present. Too often peo...

Has anyone heard from Jamir?
Jamir vacations in Thailand, and I haven't heard from her since November when her travel plans had been put on hold. I don't know when/if she left South Africa. E-mails I have sent to her since the Tsunamis struck have gone unanswered. If anyone has heard from her, please let me know at pegasus1@yep...

OK folks, I've been bouncing this around for a couple weeks, but can't seem to come up with a chorus or third verse. I would appreciate any verbal images you could shoot at me to help me finish this up. Telephone Line Copyright(C)2004 Martin Hillman I tried to call you yesterday But I guess I lost m...
