Re: I Just Bought This! Sexy Beast, need advice

Tele's are fun.
P90's work nice in the neck.
I like 3 saddle bridges.

Re: Sweet Spot vs Cranking To 10?

I first discovered the beauty of "riding" the volume control on my guitar by watching the blues players do it to great effect in the clubs. It is another reason that I play Tele's & Tweed amps. :) There are so many "colors" & "timbres" that reside in the interaction of the guitar/amp...........

Humbucker Ring

I'm looking for a larger than normal ring to cover the tele bridge pup hole.
I don't want to use an astray tele bridge cut out for a 'bucker unless I have to.
Do you know of a source ?

Thanks,

Re: Sweet Spot vs Cranking To 10?

I play tweed amps & Tele's.
I set the amp louder and with more treble than I will use.
I then adjust everything at the guitar.
I play & sing all night.
I have a great time & go home. 8)

Re: finally got that new guitar!!!!!

12's..........holy moley.
I could see 'em on a gibson scale but on a fender that's pretty heavy.
I play 11's on my tele's.
The Tele is THE electric geetar !

Re: Humbucker & Single Coil

Pulled the trigger yesterday. I went with a Seth Lover in the neck & a P-Rail in the vintage bridge. I'm going to use the parallel humbucker in it and the P90. The parallel humbucker is the combination of the single coil rail & the actual P90. Unballanced, with complex tones. I'm jazzed ! JJ

Re: 500k Pots ?

I just use a smaller cap between tone & volume. .022 or less.
Only linear ones in the house are 1 meg.
