2 questions
Is there room to rout for a humbucker?
Is it worth US$170? That's customs and shipping to Canada.
I wish he would use USPS instead of UPS. :(

Thanks, it shouldn't be too hard to replace the single coil with a humbucker in that should it? Though I wonder if there isn't a simpler way to fabricate the bridge?

http://www.heritageguitar.com/ Dealers can be hard to find, but they are made in the old Gibson plant and have a good reputation for a superior quality to price ratio. I guess what everyone is trying to say is, we'd all buy a guitar as different as possible from what we already had. Unless you hate...

Have a look at the G&Ls as well- American and Korean made. Don't be afraid of trying the older Fenders and Squiers- Japanese made as well as the Korean Squier Pro Tone.

Kay lap steel on ebay

Anyone know anything about these? I'm torn between finding a bass or a steel. Sigh, I'll get both eventually I know.

Thanks Reb. Unfortunately, the SXs aren't much of a deal for me once shipping and Canada customs are added, but the Eastwood's look interesting and there's even a dealer near a restaurant I wanted to try. That Airline looks neat.
BTW, how's the Rocket for sitting?

Oh my, hadn't realized about the electronics in it. The piezo will pickup the acoustic sound of the hollowboady so you can pick and match sounds from both acoustic and electric pickups.

Skylark music store hum

When I was in a store looking at basses, I turned on an old Gibson Skylark. Once it warmed up it hummed, even with the volume turned down. Is this normal for such amps? Could it be fixed?
