Re: Feedback Please! :D

Have at it, follow your dream. You wouldn't be in that Choir if you sounded like a screeching cat.

Re: plz listen and tell me if voice lessons is worth it!

By all means keep at it, nothing wrong with your voice. I'm big on joining a Choir. It's one of the best voice training venues around and it's free. You'd be amazed at how many singers got there start and training in a Choir.

Re: Calling All Baritone Singers...

Just because some guy screams like a girl doesn't mean he's a Tenor.I sing Tenor in our church choir but I'm a Baritone. If a notes out of my range I don't sing it. If the director wants me to do a solo and it has notes out of my range, we do something else. You have to go where your voice will take...

Re: Calling All Baritone Singers...

Where are all these Tenors everyones talking about? I can't think of one rock singer that's a Tenor. Maybe Frankie Vally but he's a freak of nature (4 Octave range). Most men are Baritones, most rock singers are Baritones. James Taylor is a Baritone. I think there is some confusion here?

Re: Tenor or Baritone

How high above middle C can you get? Tenors range is one octave below middle C to the A above middle C. On solo work Tenors can get as high as high C. Most men are Baritones. Think James Taylor, he's a Baritone.

Re: i allways have this question can i sing,

You most certainly can learn to sing in English or any other language you might choose. It takes will, determination and effort. Keep practicing.

Re: A little misfortune

I've finished all my PT and my balance is pretty good now. I still have no functional hearing in my right ear but more of it has come back. I'm learning to adapt and I've played a gig since my last update. They didn't throw rotten veggies! :D I sure miss the richness of stereo sound though. Could be...

Re: A little misfortune

Got the results from the CT scan, no tumor :) I also got some more hearing back but still can't recognize language. I'm gonna start PT next week for the balance/vertigo problem. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Re: A little misfortune

A little update. I played with my Bluegrass gospel group Sunday. Got a little disoriented once but played through it. By in large it went well. Had a battery of tests Monday for the vertigo. The results showed that the problem is not in my ear so I'm haveing a CT scan of my brain Friday. Get the res...

A little misfortune

Hi, hope everyone here has been well. I haven't been around in awhile, I ran into a little misfortune. About a month ago I came down with something called Sudden Sensorinueral hearing loss. I've had a greater than 90 db loss of hearing in my right ear. I've also got constant vertigo. My doctor says ...

Re: Which foot do you use for tapping out rhythm?

I'm lefty and play lefty, I don't tap at all. If I did I would be out of breath before I made it through a set. Maybe through a song. I'm not sure I could tap if I wanted to. I mean playing, singing and you want me to tap to

GIG report

A friend of mine who belongs to the local Acoustic Guitar Players Association asked me to play a party with him and two other people. I couldn't pass that up. At warm up it was clear to me that these folks are way better than me. But my motto is no guts no glory, so off we went. I knew the lyrics to...

Re: Have you ever been openly insulted about your playing?

I've never had a negative comment. Most people are impressed that I took up the guitar at my age and that I can play at all. But I'm hard enough on myself to make up for it.
