Re: do i have the potential to be a good singer?

You are already a good singer.

Jersey Jack is right again. You are hiding your voice behind the music. Don't forget that your voice is the most important instrument in a song with lyrics. If people can't hear it, they don't get the full effect of the song. Bring your voice up in the mix.

Re: Posting my singing for the first time...

Open your mouth and sing. Don't worry what people think of your voice. You need to get comfortable with your own voice. I think that most of your problem with the "breathiness" is the fact that you are very self concious of your voice. You mentioned that you think you have problems hitting notes. We...

Re: I got interested in singing (file incl.), help out =P

also my voice cracks/goes way too high in the beginning of the song clip hahaha, umm I can also feel my throat being too tight and having too much tension at times... I've tried singing from my stomach but it's easier said than done, I don't think I use head voice at times even. :| confusing. Breat...

Re: Analyze my voice...

You have a very good voice. Although like Jersey Jack said, calm down on the expression. Being expressive is a good thing, but when someone is too expressive, it can be a bit hard on the ears.

But with that said, I like your voice, and I like the song. Keep up the good work.

Re: Bass guitar VST plugin?

Cakewalk studio instruments. It's not free, but it can be had for under $50.00
It includes electric piano, bass guitar, string section and drums. The bass guitar is probably one of the best that I have heard in a long time.

I beg to differ. I've been playing 12 strings for around 15 years, and you can very much fingerpick. Just takes practice. :D

Don't really care what it looks like when it's done. Just want to see if I can do it more than anything else.
It was given to me free and pre-broken, I thought it might be a fun project.

I have a broken neck

Anyone have any experience repairing a broken neck? I was given a nice Cort Earthwood acoustic, but it's missing it's headstock. Well, I should say, the headstock isn't missing, but it's not attached. I would like to save this guitar, but if I can't it's no big deal. I'm looking for advice. I've don...

Re: Very (very very) cheap mic - good reviews.

Superlux condenser mics are excellent. I have been using CM-H8A's for several years. It is the only mic I use for recording vocals. http://www.superlux.us/recording.html#CM-H8A They are by far, the best condensers you can get for $100. I have bought quite a few other mics in that price range, and no...

Re: Good Recording Soundcard?

Depends on how much $ you want to spend. The Hammerfall card that Steinar Gregertsen suggested is an excellent card as are most RME Hammerfall products. They can be a bit pricey. The HDSP 9632 goes for around $550.00 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/RME-Hammerfall-HDSP-9632-PCI-Card?sku=240310...

If you are more interested in playing Electric, save up some money and buy an electric. It's hard to have the motivation to play when it's not what you really want to play.

I remember one fight my ex wife and I got into about the guitar. When I got home from work, I found two guitars that no longer had headstocks, and several pieces of a third on the sidewalk two stories below our balcony. Funny thing is, she is a musician to. She was just insanely jealous of the guitar.

As Musenfreund said, Alvarez would be an excelent choice as well. In my opinion, they make some of the finest 12 strings that you can buy. I've personally owned 2 in my life, and loved them both. But for some reason, I've been having a hard time finding ANY alvarez guitars lately
