Re: Guitar Building Kits

The only experience I've had is building a guitar from Warmoth parts. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is outstanding, and the customization options are pretty vast. You can order pretty much anything you want (mind you, all of their guitars are bolt-on, but if that doesn't bother you, then good!)...

Re: SSG Y10 W16 Random Phrases, Possible Hooks or Odds & End

I'm not active in the SSG or anything, but I had a few dusty ones that I wrote down ages ago on my facebook. Figured I'd post 'em up, and see what people think :) Unicron's Head (Transformers reference) Musings from the Wagon/Philosophical Sled Nameless Parents (Calvin & Hobbes reference) Droning La...

Re: Pedal Board DIY Questions/Concerns

Thanks for the reply dude :) I'm not sure what XLR is, as I am basically a self-taught, bedroom guitar player lol. I figured the stereo jacks would work fine, and honestly the connectors I found would make things a LOT easier to assemble (i.e. no soldering required...) Anyway, thanks again. I'll sho...

Pedal Board DIY Questions/Concerns

Hey guys, First off, I'm guessing this is the correct forum to post in - if not I'll be glad to move it. So yeah, I've been playing around with the idea of building my own pedalboard. Nothing fancy, really, basically just some scrap wood and velcro to get my pedals into some semblance of order. But ...

Re: Best LP guitar kit??

I've heard nothing but good things about Warmoth.

I built one myself, but it was a strat, not an LP. The prices vary depending on what you want, but the options are quite various and the quality is great.

I mean, if you don't mind a bolt-on LP, that is...

Re: exactly how many styles are there when playing guitar?

Go to youtube, and look up a channel for Candyrat Records (I think the channel is called "rpoland")

A lot of great and diverse styles on there, mostly fingerstyle acoustic. That should be a good inspiration, if nothing else. Good luck!

Pretty cool man! Sounds a bit harsh though, but I guess that's what happens when you add overdrive to an acoustic

This. Or you could try experimenting with strap placement, or the use of counterweights strategically placed on your guitar's body. Of if you're extremely adventurous, you could move the strap buttons (but I wouldn't recommend that.)
