Re: SSG10-Week26 Counting Raindrops

Ah, I hear it now. With the volume low in the middle of the night, the bass and acoustic blended to something like a hurdy gurdy. With the volume up, it's all more clear. Enjoyed listening another time, too. Good one.

Re: SSG10-Week26 Counting Raindrops

Hey James,
I really really liked this.
What was the instrument playing the chords? I don't have things turned up too loud, cause it's late here.

Man, good song. I feel like I'm going to be singing it all week.

Re: SSG Y10W23 - Sometime That Afternoon

Sorry I'm not working on week 24 right now. I have a few lyrics, but no song yet. I'm still working on this week 23 song with my (beginnings of a) band project. We've worked out most of the song, but I'm struggling for a catchy chorus and I don't want to just throw something in there, so I'm trying ...

Re: SSG10 - Week 24 - The First Step

Man Soundclick is really really not mobile friendly. I'll have a listen when I get to the office later. But, love that you've written a song about the writing process, as a branch of the assignment/exercise. I'd encourage you to develop it further per James' suggestions. It would let the song 'go so...

Re: SSG Y10 W23 Understand Words

It's very mantra-ish. The way it's spoken makes it sound like s mission statement. I know you've already recorded a form of this, but I didn't have much to grab onto in way if a melody or song. BUT, it's so driven, that may be all you need. I really hear this over a march, and maybe with a good rock...

A Day in the Life - Jeff Beck's version

Hey all, I'm new here. Been checking out some of the recordings and really enjoy hearing everyone. Here's a song I worked a loooong time to try to replicate. I have a friend that records for a hobby and thought this would be a fun challenge. It was such a challenge. I had to relearn how to play guit...

Re: Make You Feel My Love - Bob Dylan/Garth Brooks/Adele

Another nice recording here. Reading your post, I can relate to the difficulty memorizing songs. Sooooo hard for me. Espcially on the instrumental stuff. You're a fantastic player, and I'm glad you know it's in your head, it's clear your hands know what to do, just by watching your picking hand in p...

Re: Time After Time

I enjoyed that. My wife and I did that one in our living room lol. Nice stage you got there. Strange that it's such a fun song to play isn't it? Such nice changes. Nothing too revolutionary with that song, but still works so well.

nice. I really liked the Chili Peppers covers. I don't play bass, so I was happy to see what Flea plays and how you approach it.
