First, check your solder connections. They can be bad even if they are "physically" connected. If the solder is not chrome-like shiny (appears dull gray) you may need to redo the solder work. I suggest starting with the easy/lowest cost possibilities. Basically, your problem string has either problems maintaining tension (tune) or it is binding in the nut. Work down this list. ; 1.
