Re: Anyone buy "Just Because?"

I do lots of research while I'm saving, but more often than not when I finally get to the store with the money I come away with something not even considered in my research. :D My last guitar (an Aussie Cole Clark acoustic) was bought because I was waiting for a $2 shop (in Australia a bargain shop)...

Yes, it's being reported here too.

Wasn't he about to start a worldwide comeback tour?

+1 :)

I like his reasoning. Once you recognise a cover at the beginning and get into it's rhythm, you probably won't notice mistakes as much from the middle to the end.

Well, sounds good in theory. Perhaps I need more caffeine on this cold, cold morning.

As a child of the 50s and 60s I enjoyed it too.

No need to apologise, young man!

Gnease,

I'm embarrassed to say I'd never heard of them before this. I had to look them up on Wikepedia.

Now I'm off to YouTube to do some listening.

Re: AC/DC

Sorry, Nuno, it was a joke. Please accept my apologies. There are usually two AC/DC camps: those that think AC/DC was finished in all but name when Bon Scott died and those that think the band is just as good as ever with Brian Johnson. As an old person who grew up with AC/DC from when they were sti...

You mean there is still an AC/DC following Bon Scott's death? You're kidding me, right? :P

When I read this about guitarists (or even think about just about any successful professional guitarist), I wonder how they avoid/avoided RSI, Carpel Tunnel etc.

Re: Have to do it ......... USA Strat price up again!

... Yeah, I'm sure the USA Fender is the superior instrument, but how do I justify the difference of over $1,000.00????? Somebody please try... I think the answer is simple: you're paying a premium for a brand name and US labour costs. One day people may wake up, put ego aside, and Fender & Gibson ...

Re: For all you Blues You Can Use fans.....

Thanks for the heads-up, Keith. I can see you buy a lot of books so here's a tip for you. I never buy a book from shops or Amazon without checking the UK's The Book Depository first. Not only are their books cheaper than Amazon (and way cheaper than Aussie bookshops) but they send by FREE express ai...

Re: Rosewood or Maple fretboards,is there a sound difference?

OK, now that that horse has been beaten to death . . . let's go back to that bridge pin thing . . . Ash or elm bridge pins . . . is there a sound difference? Or bone or brass ... there are countless arguments on acousticguitarforum.com about this. However, I did learn one good thing from them: if y...
