Maybe it's GAS-Opinions Regarding an Acoustic

So I've been switching between Yamaha F-310 Acoustic, yamaha C-40 classical and electric on a no name for the past 6 years. But after 6 years I think it's time for me to get another acoustic because i feel I really want to grow as a player and it's about time I get a higher end acoustic. I head to L...

Last week my girlfriend and I jammed a bit. Some songs we played were 'Gravity' (Embrace), along with 'Looked What You've Done' (Jet) and 'The Scientist' (Coldplay). It was quite an experience as I just learned the concept of playing chords on the piano two weeks ago and so I had to tell her what to...

What kinda music do you think the group of people listen to?
If many of them are in their early twenties or teens, I would suggest a song like Wonderwall by Oasis, simply because a lot of people know it.

I share the same experience but with my girlfriend's younger brother- he has been playing for 2 years now and he still doesn't know the basic chords. He recognizes them in some songs but only through tabs. He has never had any lessons from a teacher and learned everything from the internet, but that...

Sometimes I get a numb feeling too, but only when I grip the neck too hard, or the wrong way. This may sound strange, but you might want to pick up a stress ball. I won't boldly correlate the reduction of thumb pains with the stress ball, but ever since I bought a stress ball over the holidays I not...

I found the tab if anyone is interested:

It's definately not hard, but like many classical songs, it sounds complicated but its quite simple.

Make sure they get you an amp.

I had to save up for another 3 weeks for an amp because of my miscalculations on my budget.

I learned on my own. But that doesn't mean I starting to strum the strings and decided this sound would be Gmajor. I relied on many things (TV, Internet, Books) But the most significant medium that I learned from was television. When I first started I would watch tv and look for anyone who was playi...

Usually good days come from a bad night. What I mean by this is, I usually learn new material during the night time. While the nigth starts off well, I sometimes play til 3-4 in the mourning and I get absolutely exhausted and my playing sounds like crap. The good day comes the mourning after when I ...

Constantly flicking p-up selector

Hey everyone, currently I'm learning how to play Vood Child, and I'm wondering if flicking the pickup selector switch is harmful for my guitar.

I'm guessing it is since constantly flickering any electronics is a bad idea, but I just wanted some verification from my peers.

So is it bad?

Why don't you try upgrading your gear? Maybe a new amp or a pedal would make your sound better. If money isn't too big of an issue than save up to get the V guitar. It's always useful to have another guitar around. Maybe one day you can lend it to a friend or something. IMO 2 guitars are better than...

Try this site out and follow the lessons.

That site was a huge help of guiding me to learn the guitar.

Good luck!
