Effects

With all the effect boxes for vocalists such as harmony and loopers etc. Isn't it about time some super brainy tech invented an effect box that transforms your voice into that of the artist you are trying to emulate. I mean they can do it for guitars and bass even drummers can change their kit with ...

phantom

Can anyone explain phantom power to me. (As if I were a 5 year old please.)
Just interested really as I have a Marshall AS100D acoustic amp and it has a button for phantom, only it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Re: Buffalo Soldier intro

Wow, thanks David, that really helps. I'll give it a go later and with any luck I should perform it at my next open mic and get it video'd and than upload to youtube.

Thanks again.

Re: Buffalo Soldier intro

I wouldn't accuse Bob Marley of ripping anybody off, and as it is I hate that Banana song. Chris Evans seems to like it though, I have to suffer it most mornings at around 7. - 7.15 am whilst driving to work, a bit like every Friday night on the way home you got that blooming Mananuma rubbish song b...

Buffalo Soldier intro

Does anybody know what the notes/chords are for the horn intro to bob Marley's Buffalo Soldier? I'm playing the song in A and would love to have the intro as I feel it is a integral part of the song. :note1: :note2: :note1: :note2: :note2:

Re: Best Guitar Amps (Combos Only)

You'll have to go along way to find something better than the Fender Blues Junior in that range. Great tone and volume for 15 watt tube amp with some usefull upgrades available and comes with reverb. Lightweight and portable, ideal for small to medium gigs. You should be able to pick one up for arou...

Re: Cigar box guitars

Thanks Dogbite,
Looks like he's got the hang of building these, they all seem to be 4 string. I think I'll start off simpler with a three string.
Got some really nice wooden cigar boxes through eBay,finding ones large enough is a bit hard though.

Re: E-Chords.com??

I still go to e-chords on the odd occasion, but you must remember that when i first signed up to there extra features it was pre-youtube. Now you can get tutorial video's for most songs by numerous tutors and would be tutors. Some good, some not so good. The price I was paying for being a premium me...

Re: Great Guitar Software, tuners, metronomes, transposers,

Thanks jonny,

I had actually found the original some time ago, I had forgotten that I put it on disc and when clearing out some cupboards, there it was.
