Need help with Pedal Chain

Okay, I've always played pretty much me guitar and amp, I have been convinced by my band mates that I need to work some eefects to give me a broader palette of sound. I'm like okay if it makes you happy. Here's what I have what order should it go in? Proco Rat Keely modded, Digitech Bad Monkey, dunl...

Re: Who's Getting Gear This Year?

Well, I just bought a bunch of gear thanks to a mistake at work. I've been on salary for the last year when it turns out I should have been hourly. Soooooooooo, the company had to retroactivley pay me time and a half for all the extra hours I worked. Ended up with a little over 3 grand post tax So ...

Well since you both play and play Guitar and Bass, how about Fender and Gibson? Fairly gender neutral so can be used for boys or girls, and who knows if you write the companies about your name choices you might get a sweet promotional deal

Re: R & R Fame 2009 Inductees

The criteria for being nominated is definatley strange. I mean come on, Jeff Beck has played with the Yardbirds, the Jeff Beck Group, 2 bands that helped defined the sound of Rock and Roll, and he FINALLY gets nominated in 2009, yest Grandmaster Flash not by any stretch of the imagination R&R gets i...

Re: Fender Strings?

Hmm, I'm just the opposite. I love Ernie Ball strings and dislike Fender strings. I use Ernie Ball not even slinky's 12-56 sets on my tele's, and the skinny top/heavy bottoms on my strats. I do use D'Addario Flat Wound Chrome 13-56 for my Ibby Af75 For my acoustics I use Dean Markley Blue Steel medi...

Re: Time for a shopping spree . . . help needed!

Well, for everything you mentioned, I'd have to say the Ibanez AF75 and a Peavey Delta Blues amp would be the perfect combo for you. Go for a Delta with the 15" speaker instead of the 12", the difference in sound is amazing. I own both so I speak from personal experience of those instruments. A MIM ...

Re: squire affinity tele??

Hard to go wrong with a Squire Tele. I just got one of the vintage Arctic White models, plays and feels just as good and on some days better than my MIM. I play it through a Peavey Delta Blues and I can get everything from a country twang on songs like Can't you See to full overdriven raunch for son...

Re: What was your first guitar, when did you get it, and where?

My first was a 1962 White SG, bought it in 72 for $175. The guy I bought it from had tried to refinish it, and boogered it up so it was butt ugly, but man that thing sounded unbelievable.

If I remember right, Under effects in Audacity they have a Hiss removal and Pop removal. May not clean it up all the way but it's a start

Funny you should mention this one. In several interviews Keith Richards has said this is the way he envisioned the song sounding, that Otis did it the way it was suppose to be done. When he did the riff for this he imagined it as a horn riff
