Need quick help - Saddle Placement

I was restringing and cleaning my acoustic and the saddle fell out. How do I know which way it goes back in?

Thanks.

Re: Choosing an acoustic electric....

I had an Epiphone Masterbuilt. I believe the Model was an AR-500. I loved it. Had a great sound and tone. Had to unload it for some quick cash. I would highly recommend checking them out though.

Re: Resonable Price for Neck and Fret Adjustments

Thanks NoteBoat. I don't necessarily have a problem with the charge. I just live in a small town without a lot of options so I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off. I agree that he's going to need to take a look at it again at no charge because the job he did was not sufficient.

Resonable Price for Neck and Fret Adjustments

I took my guitar into our local shop. My high E string was very tinny when I fretted it on the second fret. They said they had to adjust the neck and possibly file a couple of frets down. They charged $50. Does that seem to be a reasonable price for that work? On top of that, they didn't do a good j...

Re: Changing battery on AJ-500

Kent,

Thanks for the info. My preamp is actually different. I have an Elan 4TN Peramp. I found a pic that looks like I do, in fact need to take the cover off. I'll give it a try tonight and see what happens.

Changing battery on AJ-500

I bought an Epiphone AJ-500 used. It didn't come with a manual and I'm wondering how to change the battery. Most acoustic electrics I've seen have a battery hatch that is visible. This one doesn't and I'm afraid to start unscrewing screws.

Re: Acoustic Elecric Recommendations?

We have a winner! I finally got to a Guitarcenter and got to try out some of the models I'd been looking at. Just from reading online, I had somewhat settled on a Takamine EG341. Played it a little bit and it didn't really jump out at me. The salesman recommended a Seagull Entourage and I like that ...

Re: Acoustic Elecric Recommendations?

Thanks for the replies.

Lue42, I hear what you're saying. I just like to hear what guitars folks have had good experience with and vice versa. I'll just use it as a starting point and go from there.

Acoustic Elecric Recommendations?

Hey guys. I'm looking for an acoustic electric guitar in the 200 to 400 dollar range. I'm leaning towards the high end of that range to get quality. Any recommendations?

Re: Have I gone too far?

TR,

Nice guitar! I have a Dauntless and I've been very happy with it for the price. Plus, you saved responsibly for it. If anything, I'm impressed. Enjoy!

Can't remember the name of the song, but Pearl Jam remade it.

Re: C#m

It's not true that there are no open chords - the pitches are C#, E, and G#. You could play xxx120, xx212x, xx2120, x421xx. x42120 or 042120. There are roughly 100 ways to play any given triad on the guitar, and most of them won't be in chord books. Not to hijack, but if these chord variations aren...

Bish,

I did. I decided to go with the Dauntless. It is scheduled to arrive today. I'll post again once I've spent some quality time with it.

Re: Help comparing two Agile guitars

Thanks everyone. I probably will go with the Dauntless. First of all, Dauntless is a cool name. I'm not a metal guy, so I don't need the higher output. Ironically, Slash has one of my favorite tones. I also like the flame finish over the quilt.
