Re: Tube Amp External Speaker

Thanks everyone. The manual is a little unclear as I read it. I think I'll send an email to Epiphone. I'll let you know what they say.

Tube Amp External Speaker

I have an Epiphone Valve STANDARD, 15 watt tube combo. It has two speaker outputs in the back. One of them is being used already by the built in speaker and it is labeled "Speaker - 8 OHM". The other one is labeled "8 Ohm min". Now I know how minimum loads work with my solid state bass amp and cab (...

Vocal Amp

I've been jamming for a while with a few guitarists and we recently invited a drummer and a bassist. The problem is that now we are so loud that we can't hear the vocals. We were using a small 25 watt bass amp with a microphone before, but now it's completely drowned out. Does anyone have a suggesti...

Re: Bring it Home Blues

ya. panning is good. separate some of your tracks and the result will sound thicker, wider, more headroom. you can copy your vocal to a new track. pan one left, one right and delay the start of one track by a nano second and you have some fullness. I like guitar off center left and second guitar or...

Re: What do you think about Bucketehead?

I can't listen to Steve Via or Yngwie Malmstien or Satriani for more than a couple songs, but I really dig Buckethead for some reason. I saw him with Primus a couple times and he was great. Maybe that has something to do with it. "He's half alive, he's half dead, folks just call him Buckethead!!" ht...

Re: Bring it Home Blues

It didn't sound muddy to me per se. I noiticed that everything was pretty well panned dead center. If you widened out the panning a bit it might help to give each instrument their own space. There's nothing wrong with panning a solo instrument slightly to the side. It might not have been an option ...

Re: Bring it Home Blues

Thanks for the feedback. Can you tell me what you mean when you say the recording is "muddy"? Is it the quality of the recording you are referring to or the levels of the mix?

Bring it Home Blues

My first attempt at a blues jam. The drum track was created with the Hydrogen Drum Machine. I downloaded the track from the user forum on the Hydrogen website: http://www.hydrogen-music.org/forum/?action=show_thread&thread=362&fid=8&page=1 Much thanks to "hansfong" and "paulcooke". The bass, acousti...

Amp Head and Cab

I have a GK Backline 600 bass amp that puts out 300 Watts at 4 ohms and I've been looking for a cab to go with it. In the meantime, I have an old 2x12 cab that's been sitting around forever and I was wondering if I can use it with my amp until I find something better. There is no name on the cab but...
