Re: G Chord Misery

Hi Adrian. Some people play the G chord with the middle, ring and pinkey fingers. I use the index, middle and ring most of the time. Depending on what's going on in the song, I'll decide which fingering to use. Not to make light of your question, but it really is just a matter of practicing. In time...

Re: pull-offs causing higher strings to sound

Re: Guitar Chord Confusion

Hey, I'm a relatively new guitar player. I recently wrote a song and I don't even know if some of the chords have names. :?: I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me. Re: Keyboard question

HI Joe, congratulations on winning the keyboard. You might want to google "keyboard for dummies" (no inference intended here). They have a lot of books for beginners, and a basic knowledge can do nothing but help.

Re: Pull off problems!

Pulling off while chording can be more difficult as muting may not be possible for an adjacent string already sounding a note. That takes more careful technique from the pull off finger, including shorter stroke that immediately moves up and off the fretboard and more string "grabbiness" by the pul...

It sounds like you may be holding the neck parallel to the floor. Try angling the neck upwards toward your shoulder.

Re: Learning Progression

Are you located in an area without guitar teachers? If not, IMHO a few hands on lessons would be of great value to you. If no teachers are available, I would try to find someone at work (school) who plays that you could get together with. For me, it was much easier to have someone show what they wer...
