Re: Beginners Blues Stuff (advice welcome)

You're progressing well man! You might want to focus on bending for a bit. You get most your strength from your fingers but if you try bending from the wrist you can bend without having to work so much. try using a 'guide tone', have the digital piano play a specific note and try to bend towards tha...

Re: Boss GT-10 Coming Soon!

Besides the gain and volume there's also the input volume. This is a system setting and is not inside a patch. If you didnt set the input volume to match your guitar things can get ugly. Either through excessive hiss, poor dynamics or clipping, depending on if you set it too low or too high. I also ...

Re: Would you subscribe to your favourite artist?

Dog, the 'day job' thing is something I'm considering. In the Netherlands we have a law called something like the 'Artist Work and Income Law'. It states that if you consider yourself an artist (whether it's music, dance, film/animation, visual arts, whatever) you can apply for government support. T...

And why is that, Cat? Anything I'm grossly overlooking/underestimating?

Re: Would you subscribe to your favourite artist?

in my case things are a bit easier. The biggest problem I'm facing is that I'm way too productive, it's just not financially possible to press and release each of them physically. Let's take some completely random numbers I just pulled out of my butt: :D 1) Suppose I release 10 hours of music a year...

Re: Was Hendrix Murdered?

So, what most of you are saying is that there IS a fool-proof way of getting away with murdering someone.... Forcing a gallon of wine into them to the point that it comes out their ears, along with a handful of pills and claiming that they choked on their own vomit, as no medical inquiry could prov...

Would you subscribe to your favourite artist?

People, I'm kinda stuck in a situation and would love to hear what you think about a tiny idea I had. Little background info: last week I did the entrance exam to the composition department of the local conservatory. I presented the project (that I havent much mentioned here yet) hoping it would be ...

Re: direct recordign to pc

Your G2 is a modeler that can send out a signal that your computer can instantly use, just use the output and plug it into the line-in of your soundcard. Some modelers use USB for that, the advantage is that a poor soundcard won't damage the signal. Using line-level (as with the G2) it depends on th...

Re: A small step for humanity...

Roy, I checked with my PMs and I guess you're talking about the 'Ingólfur Arnarson' thing (9 tracks), with the landscape picture. If so, nope that's not related, that's just a side-thing I did. To those who dont know what it is like to know, it's a small album or large EP, mostly with melancholic c...

Re: A small step for humanity...

Thanks. :) Ken: Nope, I'm not venturing there. Or atleast not with this thing, I am secretely working on a little soundtrack for a short movie but that's something else, will post more on that when things are more definite. Not that there will be no visuals either, it'll just be fairly irrelevant. L...

Re: A small step for humanity...

Maybe some of you might be wondering what the heck is taking me so long. Probably even more so if you already payed for it. :P It's because of two things. The artwork is taking longer then I thought it would and there ain't much I can do to speed it up. During the Long Wait I've been thinking though...

Re: In the moment...

IMHO music is like language. At first you learn the words and grammar and that''ll be tough enough. After that all you need to do is think less of the words and more about the message. The rest will follow on it's own.
