Someone said it, but I would stick with thunderstruck by ACDC. It's such a threatening song, and you can't not feel cool walking to the mound with that playing.

For lead guitar playing, the thing that helped me the most was learning one of the blue scales (it doesn't matter which, you can move it all over the fretboard) and trying to solo over a backing track in that key. If you're new at this, lol, you will sound bad, but you will gradually hear yourself i...

For my favorite Clapton solos, I'm with smokindog on this one. - Presence of the lord: the entire song is this slow piece, then out of nowhere this awesome wah solo just comes in, completely spontaneous. It's not his best, but it's a pleasure to hear. -Key to Love (Beano Album): When I first heard t...

For guitar, I prefer online tabs and programs such as powertab and guitar pro. I don't really like to use guitar books because I prefer to hear what the part sounds like, rather then try to decipher it from a book. Lately, I've been learning how to play Beatles songs, such as Let It Be and Hey Jude ...

for those of you who want to try before buying, aol.com is running a free webcast for the entire album.

I listened to it and I didn't like it very much. I think he tries to be to "out there" However, when he picks up his guitar for the solos, they still floor me like no other.

when I say solid, I didn't mean as if you dropped it, would it stay together. I mean just the guitar in general, it gave me a feeling that I was playing a toy. (my best way of describing it) I can't really explain it, those guitars just seem "off" to me, like they were built wrong.

I personally don't like PRSs at all. I've given them loads of chacnes, just trying out their guitar wheneer I see it, and i repedeatly get the feeling that when I play their guitars (even the +$2000 models), it jsut feels like I have a toy in my hand. The guitar doesn't feel solid in my hands, or an...

On most of the strats I've seen, and on my own mex strat, the standard pickguard is a normal white, not off white.

You don't need to get new knobs, unless you want them to match with the new pickguard. Just stick your pick under the knobs and kinda push it up to loosen, then pull it off by hand.

I personally own a strat only, and I've gotten really used to it, so it happens to be the most comfortable thing I've played. Other then that, the 335 comes in on a close second, I just love the way that guitar feels and sounds. SGs are good, I sense I'm a bit slower on those then on strats. You can...

Yea, I've heard some good things about their tube amps, and I'm glad that everyone approves of carvin. I just need to convince my mom to let me get it. This is going to be tough  Also, why doesn't carvin sell to other dealers such as MF and music123, if it will help them get their product out, ...

Carvin Amps

I was just wondering what you guys think of Carvin. I was looking for a gig-worthy amp, within a budget of $300-$400. My best bet was the Peavy Transtube Bandit 112, or a Kustom Quad 100, and buy a tubescreamer with it, then I stumbled along Carvin. Carvin isn't found on any online dealer. Its becua...

Just dropped in after a while.

I thought it would be right to congratulate all you guys on quitting smoking. It really is a pointless thing to do, and you guys should be really proud of yourselves.
