Pickup Selector

I have a Fender Strat STandard and I was always wondering, which coils were being used based on where the 5 way selector switch was. I know 1,3,5 all make loud buzzing sound, where 2 and 4 are alot quieter. Saying that poition 1 is aiming towards the back of my guitar, what coils are used in each po...

My now broken whammy bar

This is kind of a stupid mistake.... I have a fender standard stratocaster and I was trying to change the strings, somehting I had never done before. so I unscrewed the back plate and tried to find out where the strings went. After about 1/2 hour, I didnt know what to do, so I unscrewed my bridge, a...

It was a mix of 2 things: my uncle was a well known guitarist in Lebanon and played in concerts throughout the country. So I wanted to be like him and eventually picked up the guitar. The second motivation was just hearing what so many poeple could do with the guitar (Led Zeppelin, the betales, crea...

So, my best chance of getting that is just to play it with finger vibrato then. I'll guess I'll keep prascticin it then

Im pretty sure the part is played by clapton, but I'm mainly wondering if he is using vibrato or a tremolo bar for the full step bend at the beginning of the solo

Still My Guitar Gently Weeps

Hey evryeone, I'm wondering about the beginning of the solo in the Beatles' "While my guitar gently weeps", where the full bend is held and vibrato is being done on it at the same time. I can't seem to apply the right speed of vibrato so, could it have possibly been played using a tremolo bar?

Thanks

Trouble with soloing

Hey eveyrone, I've been playing for around a year and I think i am ready for my first real solo. I've looking at various tabs for good sounding ones that aren't too dfficult, and after a qhilw i found my problem. No matter how hard I try, I cannot make good sounding, stable bends, and I don't know h...

Amp Settings

I ahve Marshall 15DFX, and I play a Fender Standard Strat. The guitar has great sustain and I'm happy with it, but whenever i play and hold bends, they don't seem to last long/ have very short sustain. Are there any ideal amp settings to improve the length and clarity of my bends?

Normally, my guitar has good sustain T...
