I've ordered from them twice and have been hapy with the strings. I'll quickly admit that I'm not at a skill level where the quality of the strings is going to be a big factor. Both times that I've ordered, I bough four sets plus a bag of picks for $13. (maybe it's three sets but I don't think so). ...

I agree that you should be able to play most songs just with a quick listen or by using your own personal style but I have to say that I'll sometimes fall into a "default" pattern if I'm not thinking about it (which sounds fine until I've played a couple in a row with the same strumming). So I have ...

I was expecting to disagree with it a lot more than I did (although I definitely prefer Cat Power's cover of Satisfaction over Devo's). Not a bad list....

There are computer programs that can do it. I received a cd-rom with my first guitar and it had a metronome on it. Maybe try download.com or something.

Thanks for all the help. I looked at it yesterday and was able to push it in slightly which did help with the sound. It doesn't sound quite as good as before but I think that's made up by the ease of play. Thanks for the tip on measurements, I had used the original and just lined the two up to compa...

Thanks, that last possibility makes sense because the saddle was larger than the original, I tried to sand it down correctly but it might not have fit all the way in. It's a cheap guitar so I was surprised when it sounded cheaper....Thanks for the info, I'll probably just change it back and try to o...

So I changed saddles.....

I wanted to lower the action on my guitar. The new saddle (I didn't want to mess with the original) was a little larger than the original but I was able to sand it down to fit snugly. I lowered the action successfully, but now it sounds like there's no bass. I have to admit that I did it late last n...

Okay thanks. Now I've done that before where no notes come out and all you here is the strings getting hit. This sounded more like the strings are able to ring, just not for very long. Is that by muting it only a little bit? Or am I mishearing it?

I love this lesson and am really getting into it. (It's a great feeling when I can suddenly produce a different style than I've played before). I feel like the lesson proceeds in very manageable steps until suddenly at the end I read that muting has been added. Did I skip over a lesson that had this...
