Loving and Living

Post by chefie » June 6th, 2017, 9:55 am

LOVING AND LIVING

I borrowed the chorus . . . . . although it's not totally agreed upon as to the souce . . . . . but thank you whoever you are!

http://www.soundclick.com/html5/v3/play ... 80965&q=hi

Dancing as tho no one is watching
Singing as tho no one can hear
Loving as tho I have never been hurt before
Living as tho Heaven is here

And I’m listening to the rhythm of my own heart beat
and my body starts to sway and I move my feet
start turning around and jumping in the air
and tho someone might be watching I just don’t care

and suddenly I start singing and making up words
a song of life like nothing you’ve heard
and the winds carry it high into the air
and tho someone might hear it, I just don’t care

Dancing as tho no one is watching
Singing as tho no one can hear
Loving as tho I have never been hurt before
Living as tho Heaven is here

and deep in my soul there’s something that I feel
and I know it’s love and I know it’s real
and once upon a time I was hurt before
but I couldn’t care less just want to love more

and the places I go and the beauty I see
and I imagine it’s just like heaven will be
but it’s here and now and in my grasp
and I’ll do everything I can to make it last

Dancing as tho no one is watching
Singing as tho no one can hear
Loving as tho I have never been hurt before
Living as tho Heaven is here

Dancing as tho no one is watching
Singing as tho no one can hear
Loving as tho I have never been hurt before
Living as tho Heaven is here

Great idea for a song. I think we have all heard the "Dancing like no one is watching" lines but I've never heard it in a song.

I think that you are pushing the tempo too fast. Speed does not make the song. I tried slowing it down and just playing
G G6 Gmaj7 G6
Am Am6 Am7 Am6 Am
D Dadd9 D Dadd4th D
G G6 Gmaj7 G6

Over your lines .

Hi John,

Thanks for the listen and suggestions. More often than not, my songs are usually in a much slower tempo. I tried this one slower . . . . . not quite sure . . . . . seems to me this song needs energy! Appreciate your input.

I really like the lyrics. At first I was wondering about how well being hurt in the past fit with the feel of the song, but then it made sense in contrast with the euphoria of being in love now.

I agree that the tempo seems too fast. I think you should try more of a dance tempo. Maybe have a slower dance tempo for the verses and a somewhat faster tempo for the chorus.
