Y14W15 - Somewhere

The Sunday Songwriters club is a stretching exercise for your mind. Arpeggios for the brain cells, so to speak. After all, writing is like playing - to get better, you have to practice.

Y14W15 - Somewhere

SOMEWHERE

http://www.soundclick.com/player/single ... 7538&q=hi

Maybe it’s hiding under a rock
maybe behind a door
I’m sure it would help if I knew
what I was looking for

it might be hiding in plain sight
right before my eyes
or hidden by something I can’t quite see
wrapped in a disguise

But it’s somewhere, somewhere I know
somewhere where I’ve yet to go

I’ve been looking for some time now,
you think I’d have found it, still,
don’t know how much longer I can look
or if I have the strength or will

If I stop don’t know what I’ll do
what will I have left
no passion, no reason, no purpose for life
I just can’t stop this quest

Cause it’s somewhere, somewhere I know
somewhere where I’ve yet to go

Looking into your eyes, what do I see
is it just a reflection, or is it my reason to be
are you what I’ve been searching for all along
and how do I know if I’m right or if I’m wrong

It’s somewhere, somewhere I know
but is it somewhere, where I’ve yet to go

you were the one who was always here
when I needed you the most
why was I looking somewhere else
while you were here, so close

It was somewhere, and that somewhere was right here
somewhere, hidden only by my fears

not somewhere, not someplace, but someone
