changing the tempo of a backing track

Recording engineering discussions and questions. Also a great place to discuss software, plugins, and computer based recording/arranging.

changing the tempo of a backing track

Post by almann1979 » December 7th, 2009, 12:40 pm

i have a backing track for canon rock but the swept section is just too fast for me at the minute - i would love to find a way to slow it down (and then slowly speed it back up again) so i can get upto speed.

the backing track is just an mp3, does anybody here know a way for me to change the speed of this track?

thanks in advance.

Best practice will do it - it will also keep the same pitch.

I use "The Amazing Slow Downer."
It's awesome....can change the pitch too without changing the tempo.
