One of my top 5 favorite guitarists.

Image

He played a Goldtop w/P90's and also had a Black Beauty w/PAF's.
I have at times seen him w/late 50's Sunburst LP's W/HB's.

He usually played through Orange amps live.
Though I don't believe he favored them.

Was very widely respected for his fantastic tone and IMPECCABLE finger vibrato.

B.B. -
Yeah, I love Link Wray as well.

And thankX to Quentin Tarantino for making him popular again.
Before he was on one of his soundtracks it was IMPOSSIBLE to find stuff like Rumble and all those great instumentals.

That's how I found out about his stint as Robert Gordon's guitarist.
That was all I could find.

Pretty cool stuff if you're into Rockabilly 8)

Okay ~
Back to the guy in question....

He was a 60's British Blues player.

He is still alive, though he does not play at all.

His old band from the 60's is still together and still has 2 of the original members in it.

He quit the band in around 1972 I'm thinking, after getting into an argument with the other guitarist about a tuning before
a gig.

For a good part of the time between then and now, he was a homeless street person.

Hope that helps.

Danny Kirwan, fired from Fleetwood Mac. Thanks for the clues!

Good one Mitch :D

I guess they did actually fire poor Danny, didn't they...?

What gave it away???? (May I ask)

Your guy looks like Moby to me...?

What gave it away: I googled finger vibrato and les paul gold top together, and I think he was in the top 10 hits.

Nope, this one's not Moby. People don't usually see this guy's bald head.

I think its Tom Morello (did I spell that correctly?) from Rage Against The Machine. He is doing a solo acoustic tour - I read about it in Guitar World Acoustic several months back.

Right CFB, it's Tom Morello. No baseball cap, no electric guitar, but still raging!

You're up!

Opps! Forgot I answered this one, sorry! Rgalvez asked me why I haven't posted here - I forgot!

So, here's a hard one, I think. I can give clues, if needed:

Okay, first clue: he is a rhythm guitarist.

Okay, looks like nobody follows this post anymore. In case anyone was wondering, the picture is of Dave Kushner, the "other" guitarist in Velvet Revolver.

Glad I didn't guess "Chris Cornell" then!
