Dust My Blues question

Y'all come on in and sit a spell. All things Slide and alternate tuning. Celtic, country...whatever. Get your fill of DADGAD, open G and whatever tickles your fancy. Strictly on topic please.

Dust My Blues question

Post by Johnny H » February 19th, 2016, 2:28 pm

•I have a question about Dust My Broom. In the attached link Fleetwood Mac is on stage in Paris in 1968 and Jeremy Spencer on lead guitar is doing a version of this song. At 12 seconds into the song, after the 12th fret triplets he does a slide and then 4 notes, then he slides again and does 6 notes. He does this several times throughout the song. It sounds pretty cool.
Could someone please share with me what he is doing there. Where he slides, what notes he is hitting. Also, I think he is in the key of E . Is that true or is he perhaps in D? Thank you.
