Yee ha! My first solo Festival booking

Postby Alan Green » June 7th, 2012, 9:21 am

Early days yet and details to follow, but I've just got my first Festival slot as a solo guitarist at the Hertford Festival "Musical Mystery Tour" on 26 August.

They said this: "Thanks. You're just what we need."

Just get it on paper that you are there to play guitar and not to sweep up after the dancing goat act.

Rock on Alan!

Dancing Goat - quality. At the moment it's looking like three sets at three different venues in one day. It's certainly going to be interesting.

LOL, but maybe not so funny. My vocal quartet once sang at a county fair on the same stage where the trained bird act had just been. I wish someone had told us to bring a broom. And my portable PA. Who would have thought that each act was supposed to supply its own sound system?

So, Alan, well-deserved congratulations, but get the details.

That's awesome, Alan! Try to get some video or audio for those of us across the pond.
