Time to let the cat out of the bag...

Postby NoteBoat » Fri Aug 15, 2008 7:24 pm

I've been posting less than usual lately, and those of you following the Sunday Composer's Workshop no doubt noticed a little break in the action last week. But now it's time to let everybody know the reason...

I'm opening a new music school on Monday. If you're in the neighborhood, feel free to give a call and stop by:

Midwest Music Academy, Inc.
23162 W Lincoln Hwy
Plainfield IL 60586
1-815-254-2778

We'll be teaching guitar (of course - and in acoustic, electric, and classical flavors, with teachers specializing in rock, blues, classical and jazz), and also piano, voice, violin, trumpet, trombone, French horn, tuba, flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, and oboe. Our average teacher has a music degree with 20 years of teaching experience; half our teachers half master's degrees. Pictures and more stuff about it coming soon...

and if there's interest, I'd love to host a GN jam session to show the place off! I'm thinking October - anyone up for a Halloween Hoedown?

I have two away gigs in October, but let me know when. I might be able to make it out there.

Could be difficult persuading The Factory to open an office in Plainfield, especially as the New York DA's already filed criminal charges and one of our ex-employees is singing like a canary to the IRS about our helping US residents avoid US tax, but I'll see what I can do.......

Good luck Tom, we're right behind you.
