There is a guitar solo in the song "Michelle" by the Beatles that is played in a fairly low key. The first time I heard it, I assumed it was played on the bass. A friend and I are planning on performing this song at some point, but she's not too eager to play the guitar solo. Is it feasible to play the solo on a bass rather than a guitar?

why not? Lots of bass solo's out there. Just find the right octave for your version and all should be well.
It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!
