OK, I know I'll probably be laughed out of the bass players discussion, but does anybody have a Kala U-bass? I just bought one this week and I want a stand for it. Something more secure than an A-frame, but easily transportable. Guitar stands are too big. My mando/violin stand doesn't work because the fat U-bass neck doesn't slide into the neck holder securely. Also, with the U-bass plugged in, the plug in the endpin jack touches the floor. There is only one tiny music store here and no luck there. Before I order something on-line, I want to know that it will work.
Thanks.

Re: Stand for Kala U-Bass?
In case anyone else needs the info, I've ordered this stand:
http://www.elderly.com/hercules-single- ... -stand.htm
I have been assured by a guy at Elderly that he actually tried the stand with a U-bass and it works. He also said that this cheaper stand works:
http://www.elderly.com/ultimate-support ... -stand.htm
Both stands are available elsewhere, of course.
This one is a tight fit, not really suitable:
