I would definitely not get the Marshall, regardless of whatever else they have. As to breaking down: it won't. And if it does: buying a new amp every five years is cheaper then doing a full tubeswap with a big tube amp. Take a look at Behringer: when stores ship stuff back because it didn't work they usually just ship a new one back. Cost of production is below cost of repairs.

Hello. I'm hoping there's still life in this thread.

I have both a Marshall MG30 digital and a Vox Valvetronix AD30VT-XL.
The amp emulators on the Vox are: Glass, Funked, Buzzsaw, Crunched, Thrashed, Raged, Modern, Fluid, Molten, Black and Damaged.
I've had this thing for 3 years and it's pi**ed me off so much in the past that I gave up on it as I wasn't gigging.
Now I need the damn thing. Anyone know how to get the 80's metal Marshall tones out of it? Iron Maiden, Judas Priest?
The Marshall MG30 is useless for anything other than low volume personal practice. Even it's Emulator Out sucks.

Thanking you very much.

Greg
