Hello all-i would have to say my best gift for christmas was watching my 10 year old daughter play the drums in her school concert.they did a christmas concert she has been learning for the last 2 years and they sounded great. My other gift was --and this one seems to stir up trouble sometimes---an Esteban guitar.and it works i have read nothing but horrible reviews but mine is ok.Really it is.:)

Sure, all you have to do is ask what it is they want, and you're sure to get a complete GAS list in a heartbeat, specs and all.

Not to be a technical jerk, but he is playing a Wal bass.

Fine by me. I've probably only ever heard 10 Tool songs and I know nothing about bass guitars.

Schecters look nice to me too, but I always read mixed reviews. Otherwise I would have put even more thought into buying Bish's C1+ a while back.
Every Schecter I have played (numerous) has been rock solid and silky smooth.

bought myself a zoom g2.1u with my christmas money yesterday :-)
its awesome, i love it already, but if i have any spare cash i might
consider adding a looping pedal to my little setup...possibly a boss rc-2. more research required on that.
also, half planning on getting a really cheap, weird, "pawnshop" type guitar from ebay to satisfy my lust for guitars :-)
This is my signature. Fear it.

Very nice pictures, JW. I have a 10 year old son who drums and plays bass, and an 8 year old son who plays guitar. I guess I am trying to "breed" my own band! And, their 4 year old sister wants to play keyboards!

I'm envious of you guys playing with your kids. My son and I both play guitar, but it's the rare occasion that he'll play with me. I guess for a boy at age 12, playing with your mom isn't near as cool as it would be to jam with your dad. :?

It is fun, Margaret. But don't be fooled - my oldest son doesn't think I am cool! 8) Although, more and more, I find him digging into my classic rock CDs!

No new guitar for me  , but i did get a lot of smaller items that i really like :D

Korg CA-30 Chromatic Tuner
Fender Instrument Care Kit by Meguiars
Fender Ultimate Wipe Detailing Cloth by Meguiars
Fender Brass & Chrome Cleaner/Polish by Meguiars
Fender Applicator Pads by Meguiars 2-Pack

And with the money i got i ordered this stuff:
Fender Fretboard Conditioner by Meguiars
Black Scratch Pad Velvet Guitar Finish Protector
Black Perri's 2.5" Soft Leather Padded Deluxe Guitar Strap

I love the wishlist on MF, it makes it so simple for my family to pick out the right gifts for me. The Fender/Meguiars care products are the best i have ever used. They make my guitars look better than new, even my old, beat up electric strat clone.
Guitars: Electric: Jackson DX10D, J. Reynolds Fat Strat copy
Acoustic: New York and a Jasmine.
Amps: Austin 15 watt, Fender Deluxe 112, Fender Champion 600 5w, 0ld 1970's Sears 500g.
Effects: Digitech Whammy, Big Muff Pi USA, MXR, Washburn Distortion.

You guys got some real cool prezzies this year.

I got this book:

I'm sure I'll grow into it.

Should keep me busy well into my old age.

I also treated myself to this:

At only £50 I couldn't resist trying it out. Haven't had chance to try it through a cab yet though only through headphones.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
