I've been obsessed with trying to learn "Brush With The Blues" by Jeff Beck. I'm only beginning to get some of his tricks. And that song is playing in my head constantly. I need to switch or take a break before I get completely discouraged!

American Tune

Yes I am ready! Fingerpicking. Lots of chord changes. A sweet song.
Gotta go and practice. Used up my five minutes per day of GN. Practice. Practice.
Will lurk tomorrow for another 5 minutes, then practice, practice.

songs im learning:
solo acoustic version of Big Love by Fleetwood Mac
Jeff Buckleys Hallelujah (sp?)
jazzy acoustic version of amazing grace
Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover...much to difficult for me, but having alot of fun with it

also there is a really interesting classical tremolo picking video along with tab for Francisco Tarregas "Recuedos de la Alhambra" in this months guitar techniques, so im growing my nail out a bit and giving that a crack. It'll be worth major cool points if i can pull it off :-)
This is my signature. Fear it.

I've been working on the Dave Hodge version of Imagine and Riders on the Storm. And I've been refreshing some of what I already know, Blackbird, House of the Rising Sun, Freight Train, Help. And I'm learning Big Road Blues from a book. Other than that I have a voice lesson tomorrow because I want to be able to sing what I play at least half decently.

Alex De Grassi's "Causeway".
It's the hardest finger-picked acoustic guitar (or any guitar for that matter) composition that I've ever tried to play. I suppose it's mainly because I'm teaching myself how to finger pick with my thumb, ring, middle and ring instead of just my thumb and index. Not easy when I'm trying to do this while learning this song. But never the less. FUN!

And a couple of basic fingerpicking songs. New to fingerpicking – at least of the guitar. ;)
Shenandoah
House of the Rising Sun
Psa. 42:8
By day the LORD commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.
