So I've been playing guitar (self taught) for about 10 years now. At the start of this year I bought a Synyster Gates schecter guitar as I'm a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan, which the guitar has the whole floyd rose trem and thin neck etc.
I've been trying to master some avenged songs, most I can do with no problem, but when it comes to the sweeping parts I just can't do it. I wanted to know if there were any tips on how to get better at sweep picking that have helped any of you guys? I don't have problem with the pick hand it's just my 'fret hand' that has a hard time keeping up with the picking hand. Like I can't get to the notes quick enough, especially when you are sweeping a scale that requires multiple use of 1 finger within the scale, I just can't get to it quick enough.
Any tips would be great, thanks!
