One of the guitarshops had a up to 80% sale, so I went to it today too look for a new soundcard and came home with this instead:http://www.flickr.com/photos/79507915@N ... /lightbox/
It's an Epiphone Broadway. Had never heard of the guitar before I saw it but it played very well and has a nice acoustic tone. I've always wanted a Gretsch White Falcon, and this may not be it, but it is a archtop which I didn't own until now. Only missing the Bigsby really.
I've no idea how it sounds plugged in, because I couldn't try it in the shop (they had no amp set up, yes, stupid in my opinion), and my guitar amp is still in service has it has been the last month. I only had to pay 2499 SEK (=357 USD) for it.
The setup is ok. The action could be a bit lower, but the intonation is spot on which had never happened when I've bought a new guitar before. I'm missing a case though and the guitar is huge, so it won't fit in another case I have. Think I'm going to order one online along with a guitar stand and a good strap. They only had nylon or leather straps with awful colours.
So, now I just to have to start a jazz career. To be honest, I'm hoping it's going too sound good with a slightly overdriven tube amp for playing chords and melody lines.
