Riverside Jam Video Preview/More Video Added

Postby Celt » Sun Aug 05, 2007 7:59 pm

Hi Folks,

Here is a preview of the video shot at Riverside Jam
Songwriters Night.

Nick Torres performing One By One
Words by Nick Torres and music David Hodge

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VekF5E_wj4s

David Hodge - Guitar/Vocal
Joel Schick - Harmonica/vocal
Helena Bouchez -Bass
Nick Torres- Guitar/Vocal
Anne O'Neil - Percussion
Jeff Brownstein - Guitar
Greg Nease - Guitar
Karen Berger - Piano (off camera)

This is part of a larger project that will take some time
to edit but I know many who attended are waiting to see
something.

Here's another where the songwriter (me) has a bit of a false
start on the first verse. Nice save guys I didn't notice it until
I viewed the tape. At least we nailed the ending 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

And remember these are rough edits.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdW9JGHVH-o

Joel Schick - Harmonica (off camera for the most part)
Aaron Eppy - Guitar
Dan Lasley - Bass
John Roche - Guitar/Vocals
Karen Berger - Piano (off camera)

Enjoy

John

OOPS

I forgot to give credit to my lovely wife Karen for
the video. She really did a great job and worked
very hard at getting it right.

Glad you guys enjoyed it especially Nick.

What awesome video-treats! Karen did a great job. I put a link to "One by One" up on my blog so the 13 stalkers who read it can see that I actually do play -- and good stuff with good people!

I also wanted to thank the attending RSJ alum for making this newcomer feel so welcome! I don't think I've ever met a friendlier and more truly tolerant bunch (and not just musically). And 1,000 thanks to Laz for letting me play his gorgeous and nearly mint 74 Fender P-Bass and to John Reichert for letting me play his bass the rest of the time. (Next time I promise to bring my own ax!)

You guys are doing something very special, something most people only talk about -- kudos! And thanks again for including me. :D

You mean the one that is so heavy it nearly threw out your back? You're welcome. 8)

And how often does either of us get to play dueling basses, as we did Sunday?

Seriously, the honor was mine.

Er, yeah, it was on the heavy side, but the experience was well worth it. Actually, some people feel that a bass that is too light doesn't have the same "bottom." As for dueling basses, that was great, wasn't it? :D I'll stop thread-jacking now. I can never stay on topic in real life either, so please forgive. -H

Helena

You expressed exactly how I felt after my first
Riverside Jam experience. It was a pleasure
playing with you.

Oh and by the way people I've posted some more video
and grouped them all together in one place.

In keeping with the family nature of the site, let me warn you that Continental Cowboy is a bit......uh......bawdy. No offensive language mind you, but PG-13 nonetheless.

Nick I only put that up so you could get the chance to view it.

Now that you have I will replace it with something more family
friendly.

And remember folks these are only preview quality
of a larger project. Once we get them into editing
there will be more and they will be much better.

No wait. I'll need to get a copy.

Please leave it up.

Personally, I think it's fine, the warning was enough.

OK

The Cowboy remains up but instead of it being the top
video you now have to click at the bottom of the page
