How were the photos taken?

Our first two photos were taken by Trevor Jones (senoj@netcomuk.co.uk) who visited the cottage during Christmas 1998. He took about 60 photos of the lane and the views of Machynlleth from the hill. The panoramic photo was taken using about five or six hand held shots. They were spliced together using the software that came with the camera. Trevor is "quite into photography." He used the digicam because it is easier to have the pictures in jpg format ready to go. Prior to these photos Trevor had not really used the image manipulation facilities and he was pleasantly surprised with the results.

The remaining photos were recenty sent to me by Phill Davies (phill@tyan.freeserve.co.uk). Phill actually stayed overnight in Bron Yr AUr back in 1993. During his journey Phill kept a diary. Perhaps most exciting for him was listing to Led Zeppelin III next to the large fireplace in the cottage during a thunderstorm. Next>
