Guitar Noise Podcast #27 – Summer Camp 2

Hello to all!

Our latest Guitar Noise Podcast picks up right where GN Podcast #26 left off. Having gotten the basics of this song under our belts, it’s time to explore what to do when (notice I didn’t say “if”) we get around to playing with another guitarist. So here we start out with a simple arrangement for two guitars.

As always, I’ll be walking you through each step, so come on along and join in the fun. And, again as always, please let us know what you think.

Peace

Catching up with you. The intro to number 13 is real nice, a bit more than detailed later. While the bass line runs, how do you get both up and down on the high strings — a pinch on the beat, or a carter style finger along with the thumb?

Anyone else having problems with #27? It’s swamping Juice at the moment starts downloading, doesn’t complete & then off again. I’ve got 13 copies at them moment & I’ve already deleted a shed load ;-)

    Hi MB

Thanks for writing! The Podcasts were, unfortunately, put on hold while I was working on writing The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Playing Rock Guitar. Hopefully, they’ll resume again this month. My apologies that my schedule has been both crazy and overbooked.

Looking forward to chatting with you again.

    Peace

I’m glad to hear that the podcasts are not done, but only on temporary hold. I’m only on number 20 anyway. I’ve played guitar for a while, but have not felt like I have improved much in the last year or os. These podcasts have got me playing more and I feel I am becoming a better guitarist as well. Thanks.

I was wondering what happened with the rss page – podcasts before #8 are not available through the rss feed… They are available as individual downloads however.

  7. David Hodge says:

    Hi Flavius

I can’t answer that question, but I’ll ask Paul and see what’s up. As you mention, it’s easy enough to get all the Guitar Noise Podcasts right here, so hopefully it’s not too much of a hassle.

    Be chatting with you again.

    Peace
