Colie Brice – Chameleon
An aptly titled album for Colie. A mix of various styles of music. From the beginning Only Love is Real which could easily be mistaken for a John Lennon song, sung by Lennon, to Relax which is rather difficult to categorize. Popish, India-influenced. Very good instrumental pieces overall.
Colie shows that he’s a versatile musician, given to playing what’s on his mind rather then what a label wants him to do.
An interesting travel into one man’s musical mind. With twists and turns in every direction.
