Greg Sherman – Zutique

Glass’s Greg Sherman offers us his own solo album, as we await the Glass comeback album.

Zutique is a beautiful offering. It is Greg playing piano and piano only. No overdubs, no electronic or MIDI connections. Just plain piano.

Style-wise, it reminds me very much of what Elton John used to do in the early seventies, when he still had a sound. It’s very much along the lines of what one can hear on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

It’s a beautiful album that is very easy to listen to and very upbeat. You’ll want to keep it close by and listen to it again and again.
