I must admit to not being a fan of country music. But I’ll give everyone a chance. And I’m glad I did. This album is in what I believe they call New country. It’s a nice blend of country and rock. Not quite the way Blue Rodeo or Neil Young do it, but nice anyway.
I must admit that my favourite track on the album appears right at the start. Rope Me With Fire has a great sound and takes you along quite nicely. Life Is Good follows immediately and starts off making you believe it will be a typical country song, but then it moves along at a pace all its own.
Overall I liked this album very much. If you’re not into country, you should like it. If you are into country, you’ll love it.
