Somnambulist – The Paranormal Humidor

The Paranormal Humidor is the band’s second release, but the third album they’ve recorded, the second never having been released. This is also the third version of the band.

However, you should not let this detract you. This album is very good. A mix of various musical genres, ending in something similar to classical Progressive. Certainly the keyboards (real, not MIDI-driven) add a lot to the sound.

You don’t end up with the impression of someone trying to take the glory, everyone comes out pretty much evenly. The album isn’t filled with track over useless track of solos. Everything that’s played is something that needs to be there.

I haven’t found any weak moments on the album, and it holds true to its initial direction. Hopefully this lineup will remain together for a while, if this album is any indication as to what they can come up with.
