The Splendid Nobodies – Coming Back Around
First thing: you gotta love the name of this band! It also gives you a good idea of what’s in store, that is, lots of fun.
In the vein of such bands as Doug and the Slugs and The Barenaked Ladies, (I guess you have to have a funny name), this band certainly knows how to deliver a good time. The music is certainly well played, but it’s obvious these guys don’t think of themselves very seriously. Which is great as it creates an entertaining atmosphere.
The music may not be overly complicated or highly inspirational, but that’s not what the Nobodies are aiming at. It’s just pure fun and this album is certainly a ball.
I would certainly go out of my way to see these guys live, I’m sure they provide a good time.
