The Jelly Jam

Ex-members of Platypus band together on a new project called The Jelly Jam.

We find pretty much the same drive as Platypus had. Which is a good thing. This is certainly a good album. It flirts with heavy rock without ever really going there. It just gives you a taste. Meanwhile, the melodies drive the music. All this with the very nice voice of Ty Tabor fronting the whole thing. Tabor’s voice reminds one of Dee Long’s (Klaatu) who reminded everyone of John Lennon’s from his Beatles days.

This band is in sync with what’s happening musically. No one ever leaves the mainstream of the song, thus provoking an unnecessary sidetrack. Everything is played out the way it should be.

It’s good to see the guys at it again and promises more to come.
