Guitar Noise is primarily a guitar lesson site. Our "text to tab ratio" is something we are proud of. This page consists of lessons and articles that will further your understanding of tab. Rather than letting you rely on transcriptions, we want to help you learn your guitar and begin to figure out songs for yourself. Some particularly useful resources on Guitar Noise include How do I figure out a song by myself without the use of tab? and our series of lessons on ear training.

Join in a lively and well informed discussion of this issue on the Guitar Noise Forums.
