I went guitar shopping with a couple of friends the other day in London, and we came across a bass store. Went in, and found that the Musicman Subs were being discontinued, because they basically play/sound the same as its £1300 superior. But these basses are being sold at about £700, and the company is losing money on them...
Seems sort of like another Squier 51 situation - one of those little cheap(er) gems.
Anybody else heard anything else about this?
Just thought it was interesting.
I don't know if they are dropping the whole line, but from what I've heard the SUBs are excellent values.

I must admit, I didn't know much at all about Musicman Basses - so I googled the term. First link I tried took me to Nevada Music - where you can get a Musicman Sub for £560!

Might pay to shop around a little!
